A comment about the design of the Singing for Dead Singers piece drew my attention again to the pragmatic of making and exhibiting work which is often overlooked.
“I had the additional problem of finding a way that a similar reconstruction could be made, then installed, taken down, and come in and out of storage. This gave several technical as well as visual problems. This led to an extended series of drawings that try to reconcile the various demands of the structure”.
